Product Review – Pouch Pants
“Pouch” pants are one of the older styles of incontinence products and yet they are still very popular with many people as they combine the economy of washable incontinence pants with the convenience and hygiene benefits of disposable incontinence pads.
These washable briefs feature a pouch on the inside designed to hold a disposable rectangular incontinence pad (otherwise known as an”insert pad”) so that the wearer has a choice of absorption levels. The pouch features a special lining which will let liquid through into the incontinence pad and also a waterproof lining underneath the pad to prevent any leaks. A disposable pad is inserted into this pouch and can be quickly and simply changed when necessary.
We offer a choice of two types of pouch pants. Ganmill Pouch Pants feature a traditional unisex design suitable for female or male use whilst Kanga Male Pouch Pants feature a front fly opening making these more convenient for male use.

New Environmentally friendly Incontinence Pads
With the increasing focus on the environment and recycling, we occasionally get requests for environmentally friendly incontinence pads and pants. Taking these requests on board we have just added the Natracare Dry & Light Incontinence Pad to our range of small shaped pads.
Natracare Dry and Light Incontinence Pads are the first of their kind; made from totally chlorine free, sustainable and natural, biodegradable materials that are also free from petroleum-derived super absorbents and plastics. The pads are made from natural cellulose materials derived from ecologically managed forests. They are over 99 per cent biodegradable and compostable, being the first incontinence pads to be made using plant-based bio-plastics. As well as being made from natural materials, they are also perfume free, like all our incontinence products.

Product Review – Tena Slip
We regularly feature new incontinence products in our news section but this does help people who may be after some more information on our existing products. So going forwards, on a regular basis we’ll be reviewing some of existing products, starting today with Tena Slip.
Tena Slip is one of our best selling products and is one of the most popular incontinence pads not just in the UK but globally, thanks to it’s combination of high absorbency and excellent design which means that it stays in place and also doesn’t break down even when reaching full capacity.
Tena Slip is an all-in-one incontinence pad, that is a large shaped pad which fastens in a diaper style with the sides of the pad wrapping around the body and fastening at the front with two adhesive tabs (top and bottom) on both sides.
The benefit of this style of product is that it is easy to apply to an individual without them having to fully remove clothing, however it is designed to be applied by a carer rather than the individual themselves so is primarily suited to less mobile individuals. For more mobile people requiring the same levels of absorption then we would recommend Tena Pants or Tena Flex.
Tena Slip is designed for heavy or continuous urinary incontinence and can also be used with faecal incontinence. It is available in three levels of absorption – Plus (Approx. 1000ml), Super (Approx. 1400ml) and Maxi (Approx. 1800ml). Selection of the correct absorbency is dependent on specific needs but often people will select one absorbency level for day time use (Plus or Super) and then use Maxi at night time to reduce the risk of any leaks over the longer period the pad will be in use.
Tena Slip has a number of other features which contribute to it’s excellent performance:
* It’s “Superfit” Band allows the fixation tapes to be resealed and repositioned without tearing the pad helping you ensure a secure and close fit.
* A “No Rustle” waterproof backing.
* “Twin Core” technology for fast absorption.
* A “Stay Dry” layer next to your skin locks the moisture in the pad and keeps you feeling dry and comfortable.
* A Wetness Indicator helps you identify when product needs changing.
All Tena Slip pads are available in Small, Medium and Large sizes and Tena Slip Plus is also available in an Extra Small size making it suitable for children or people with smaller frames.

Incontinence Pad and Pant Sample Packs
Not sure which Incontinence product is the right one for you? You’re not alone in that case. Many customers know roughly what level of absorption they require but aren’t sure whether a shaped incontinence pad, pull-up incontinence pants or an all in one pad such as Tena Slip will be the best item for their requirements.
To help you try a variety of products without having to buy a full pack of each single one, we have produced a range of sample packs. The packs are graded by level of incontinence from light through to heavy and each contains a sample of each of the types of disposable incontinence products (we regret we are unable to offer washable products) that might be suitable for that level of condition.
The packs are available in a choice of medium and large sizes where appropriate and also in a choice of Women’s and Men’s where appropriate (packs for Heavier incontinence contain Unisex products).
The Light Incontinence packs contain samples of Tena Lady Ultra Mini, Mini and Normal.
The Light/Moderate Women’s packs contain samples of Tena Lady Normal, Extra and Super and Tena Pants Discreet.
The Light/Moderate Mens’ packs contain samples of Tena for Men Level 1 and Level 2 and Tena Pants Discreet.

Some useful information about the internet (not related to incontinence products)
We’ve realised that although many of our customers are experienced internet users, totally at ease with email, e-commerce, and lots of other “e” things, quite a few customers and visitors to this website are relative internet novices for whom there is a whole new world to discover.
A customer recently mentioned an excellent “on-line” course they’d found on the BBC Website which had helped them discover many different aspects to the internet and email. We took a look and it really is quite good so we thought we’d put some information on it here.
The course covers everything from the basics of setting up your PC and connecting to the internet to finding new communities and groups where you can make new friends (or just catch up with old ones!) online. You can find out more at http://www.bbc.co.uk/webwise/course
